Mountain Cousins in Clay ONLINE Sale Labor Day Weekend beginning on Saturday, September 5 at 11:00am
Cousins in Clay in Seagrove has been postponed until 2021
We, Bruce Gholson and Samantha Henneke, want to welcome you to read all about our exciting “Cousins in Clay” pottery event we will host on May 30-31, 2020. During this weekend’s intimate pottery event we are hosting 6 renowned ceramic artists at our Bulldog Pottery Studio in Seagrove, North Carolina. This event is free and open to the public.
Come and meet clay cousins, Michael Kline, Kyle Carpenter, and Courtney Martin from western North Carolina and our guest clay cousins Minsoo Yuh and Sunkoo Yuh from Athens, Georgia. And we are honored to be visited by Sunkoo’s Ceramic Professor, Soojong Ree as our special guest all the way from Hwaseong, South Korea.
Our guests will be present to engage with you in conversation about their ceramic works and present demonstrations on both Saturday and Sunday.
There is plenty to do for the weekend in Seagrove, after enjoying your time at Cousins in Clay. Pick up a map at “Cousins” and visit the many Seagrove Potters who welcome visitors to their pottery shops. Check out the pottery collections at the North Carolina Pottery Center, and swing by STARworks to see Art Exhibits, Glass, and a coffee or sandwich at the STARworks Café.
Our Seagrove Pottery community is filled with pottery, history, and legend. Pottery is a thread that is intertwined throughout the fabric of life here in Seagrove. Pottery in someway has touched everyone. The Seagrove Potters have open shops to the public throughout the year.
